lamps made in Bolgatanga

GOLDEN’s light collection is made by skilled weavers based in Bolgatanga in the North of Ghana. The Lamps are carefully hand-woven using Elephant Grass grown in Ghana, it is dyed naturally and hand-twisted.

The shapes are evocative of colours and forms seen on road trips through Ghana;

the rich red colour of the earth, pots stacked along the road side, traditional houses with thatched roofs.

The collection is made up of 6 Shapes, they can be hung alone, together and combined.

The High Life collection

kente-cloth woven cushions made in Ho

GOLDEN’s kente cloth collection is made near Ho in Volta Region, Ghana.

Here the Ewe people have practiced traditional Kente Weaving for generations.

The geometric patterns used are based on traditional Ewe weaving in bright and vibrant colours.

These beautiful and resilient cloths are woven by hand in 15cm strips on traditional wooden looms.

The strips are cut and sewn together to create panels of fabric.

The kente fabric is Ghanaian luxury, usually worn and reserved for special occasions.

There are 3 designs in the collection, in 2-3 colours.

The designs are in different sizes so the collection combines beautifully.

Each cushion comes with a quality inner made in France from 50% duck feather and 50% polyester
